motion lab

© Fraunhofer IPA

Our focus is on human biomechanics and biosignals in medicine, ergonomics, and sports. The motion laboratory has two laboratory areas for comprehensive analyses in the fields of biomechanical gait and motion analysis, prosthetics and orthotics, occupational ergonomics, and sports biomechanics. Human movements and forces are recorded, evaluated (e.g., calculation of joint forces), and prepared for further analysis (e.g., forward dynamic simulation).

In addition to research and development in medical rehabilitation and the development of new digital process chains for medical technology, a focus is placed on data collection for kinetic human models for biomechanical analysis of hand-arm strain.
